Availability
By providing short-term relief for the family caregivers of the frail elderly or chronically ill, Respite enables the family caregivers to rest, run errands, shop, keep appointments or just participate in a relaxing activity.

Volunteers are available for a few hours on a scheduled basis.

Eligibility For Respite Care
Anyone 50 years of age or older who lives in Jackson County and needs continual physical or emotional supervision and is unsafe to be left alone is eligible for Respite.

Eligibility is not based on income.

The Volunteers
Respite Care workers are adult men and women who provide companionship and supervision to older adults. All volunteers receive training. Volunteers are not allowed to dispense medication.

Call today to volunteer, make a donation, or receive Respite Services (517) 782-3878.
